In most cases, the cause of feline CKD is usually not evident at diagnosis. However, there is increasing evidence that renal hypoxia plays an important role in development and progression of feline CKD.

Beraprost sodium, active substance of RAPROS®, suppresses deterioration of renal function by protecting vascular endothelial cells.
